Hi ALBC Family!

Wow!  It finally feels like FALL out there!  It is such a beautiful time of year in our part of the country.  I can’t wait to celebrate it with you all this Saturday at ALBC’s Annual Fall Fest.  I am so thankful to Dave and Stephanie Schooler for hosting us all.

The event is from 4-8 p.m.  If you have not yet signed up to attend, please e-mail Liz Presutti at Liz@engagelife.org by Friday afternoon and she will let you know what food item is still needed for you to bring.  Don’t miss this fun chance to enjoy being together!  Feel free to bring some friends!

God has been at work among us.  The Women’s Retreat last week was a very special time of connecting and processing the deep relationship with Him that God is calling all believers into.  Our small groups have been thriving with new people in attendance.  I have been so blessed to work through what it means to really lean into God through exercising my muscle of faith as I prepare for the messages in our “Living Faith" Series.  I am thankful to see God’s goodness to our church family as we seek Him.

I look forward to worshipping with you all on Sunday,
Pastor Randy

Hi ALBC Family,

I am so thankful for the Sunday services that we had this past week at ALBC.  The message that my friend, Pastor Ryan Muliette, brought was a gift to us.  If you were not able to be there on Sunday, let me encourage you to take the time to listen to his sermon.  It can be found here:  http://www.abundantlifebiblechurch.org/sermons-1/

Today is the start of our Women’s Retreat in the Poconos.  Those who are attending it is going to be a refreshing, impactful time of rest and connecting with each other.  Please be in prayer for the 13 women who are attending (and for the dads who are holding down the fort at home!)

On Saturday, October 28th, we will be having a Leadership Community meeting at 9:30 a.m.  If you have ever given becoming a small group leader even a thought, please plan on attending this meeting.  The heartbeat of our church is within our small groups and we need more leaders as we grow.  Come out and learn about what it means to lead.  You are not making a commitment by attending, but will gain a better understanding of why we have groups, what it takes to lead and the support that is provided for our leaders.

This coming Sunday, we will continue in our sermon series, Living Faith!

I look forward to seeing you then,
Pastor Randy

Happy First Day of Fall!

As we experience the change of seasons, I am thanking God for His continued faithfulness to Abundant Life Bible Church.  This year has brought a lot of changes for our church family.  In the past 12 months, we have seen 3 children added to our number through adoption and 5 through birth.  Some people have moved away.  God has brought new families into our church family.  We have been able to see all of our needs met and roles filled in the midst of these changes.  God has proved to us that He does great and mighty things when we call upon Him!  I look forward to what God has for us this fall as we focus on being thankful for His goodness to us as a local church.

Last weekend, 14 men were able to gather in the Pocono mountains for an unforgettable time together.  God used my friend, Brian Pettrey, in a mighty way to speak into the lives of each of us and we were drawn together through this experience.  What a blessing to have this kind of community.

The women’s retreat is October 12th-14th.  Ladies, just ask any of the guys who attended our retreat - you want to make it to this special time away.  The book, Unseen, is life-changing and for you to get to work through it together is going to be such an encouraging time.  You can sign-up to attend the retreat this Sunday.

I hope that you will all plan on attending our annual Fall Fest on October 21st at Dave and Stephanie Schooler’s home.  This is sure to be a great time of connecting with one another.  There will great food, hayrides, games and fun.  This is also an opportunity to invite your neighbors and co-workers to come out and meet your church friends.

This Sunday, I will be speaking on the power of prayer and we will also be celebrating communion.  I look forward to seeing you then!

Have a wonderful Friday,
Pastor Randy

Hi from Lake Wallenpaupack!

We are having a great time up here in the Poconos on the ALBC Men’s Retreat.  I am so thankful for the chance for us to connect, have fun and spend an extended time together around God’s Word under the ministry of my friend, Brian Pettrey.  Please be in prayer for us during this special time away.  Men’s Time of Prayer will take place here in the mountains, so there will not be a meeting at Buckman’s this Saturday.

This Sunday will be a great one at ALBC as Jim Maxim, the founder of Acts 4:13 Prayer Ministry, will be speaking.  He is always a blessing when he is with us at ALBC - this isn’t an opportunity that you want to miss!

See you then,
Pastor Randy

Hi ALBC Family!

For many, this is a crazy week with kids going back to school and getting into new routines or trying to remember old ones. On Sunday, we are going to have a special time of prayer over all students and teachers beginning a new school year. New beginnings are exciting and sometimes scary – let’s stand together as a church family and pray for God’s favor and help in the coming year.

The devastation that has hit my home state of TX with Hurricane Harvey has been difficult to watch this week. I am thankful for the way that the community and churches have responded around the nation with help. If you would like to donate towards the relief efforts, let me encourage you to do so through Samaritan’s Purse.  You can do so through this link:. www.samaritanspurse.org/article/relief-units-rolling-texas-hurricane-harveys-punch/?utm_source=Bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=m_YYHH-B17V_HHSP

This Saturday, Men’s Time of Prayer will resume. We will meet at 8 a.m. at Buckman’s Inc. (105 Airport Road, Pottstown, 19464). If you have not yet joined us, come out for a great time together of encouragement and prayer.

I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday,
Pastor Randy

I hope that your summer is ending well and that you are as excited about fall as I am!  Our family is looking forward to the routine of school and getting back into small groups!  September 3rd will be our "Back to School Sunday" where will we have a special time of prayer for students and teachers of our congregation.

Please be sure to make your decisions concerning small groups this weekend!  Books will be ordered and sitters will be booked during the following week, so Amy will thank you if you can make those things smoother by signing up this Sunday!  Here is what is being offered:  http://www.abundantlifebiblechurch.org/small-groups-1/

ALBC is doing a mail campaign this fall!  We are inviting the community to engage life with us!  We have a few extra postcards, so if you have a friend, neighbor or relative that you would like to receive one, just e-mail their mailing address to Liz Presutti at liz@engagelife.org and she will make sure that one ends up in their mailbox.

Have a great day,

Hi ALBC!

What a wonderful time it was to be with you all on Sunday at our picnic.  I am so thankful for times like those when we can enjoy the blessing of just being together.

Community is a one of our church’s core values and this is best played out through our small groups.  This month is our sign-up month.  Don’t miss out on getting the chance to sign-up for your small group of choice.  Groups will close when they get too full.  You can check out what is being offered here:  http://www.abundantlifebiblechurch.org/small-groups-1/

I am also looking forward to getting to connect with many of you guys at our Men’s Retreat on September 14-16.  Details just came together this week and I am happy to announce that Pastor Brian Pettrey from The Brooklyn Tabernacle will be leading our discussion times at the retreat on the subject of Surrender.  This will certainly be a meaningful, fun time for all who can make it.  Sign-up in the lobby this week!

This Sunday our “Things that Hold Us Back” Series will continue with a hard look at how stress keeps us from pursuing God.  Missionary, Jarod Stevenson will also be sharing about his ministry to France with us.  I hope that you will plan on joining us at 9 a.m. or 10:45 a.m.!

See you then,
Pastor Randy

Hi ALBC Family,

This has been a special week for our family as my sister and her family have been visiting us from TX.  We have been blessed by watching cousins have fun together and have enjoyed many late night talks with with Sarah and Chad.  Family is so important and I thank God for these people who He personally put in my life.

This Sunday, we will be having a family day at ALBC.  In the morning, we will be continuing our series on "Things that Hold us Back" by taking a look at the danger of keeping community, namely a church family out of your life.  Then, at 4 p.m., we will gather at Black Rock Road Park for our annual Church Picnic.  If you did not sign-up to attend and would like to do so, please e-mail Liz Presutti at liz@engagelife.org to let her know that you will be attending and she will let you know what you can bring.  We are looking forward to a great time together!

Each Saturday for 2017, I have really enjoyed getting together with the men of ALBC for a time of prayer.  We will be taking the month of August off and will begin meeting again on September 2nd!  In the meantime, let's continue to pray for each other, our community and ALBC.

Looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday,
Pastor Randy

WOW!  What a week it has been!  We had such a fun time working together at our Treasure Island Camp VBS.  I am so thankful for those who sacrificed of their time to be a part of it all.  This VBS was the most challenging that we have ever had due to two nights of rain.  Those of you who volunteered did a phenomenaI job handling that difficulty.  And God showed up!  I don’t know if we ever saw more fruit from this effort than this week.  God is at work in people’s hearts and it is awesome to watch it happen! VBS Sunday!

This Sunday is going to be very special as we celebrate our amazing week of Treasure Island Camp VBS.  There will be a slideshow of highlights and the kids will be singing for us.  I will be sharing from God’s Word one of the stories that the kids learned this week:  Zaccheaus.  Please join me in praying that families who are in need of experiencing the love and forgiveness of Jesus will come out this Sunday.

Since we are so close to August, our small group sign-up table will be up this week as well.  Be in prayer about what group God would have for you to join this Fall Semester (September, October and November.)

After the second service, we will be having an informal picnic at Upper Schuylkill Park (1600 Black Rock Road, Royersford 19468) at around 1p.m.  Bring your lunch or pick-up take out and join us by the river!

For anyone who can join us, we will be meeting at Parkhouse Nursing and Rehab at 2:20 p.m. to hold their weekly church service for them. The service is from 2:30-3 p.m.  All ages are welcome as the residents love seeing children.  We are hoping that some children will be able to sing one of our VBS songs for the service.  We are in need of adults as well to greet and to help return residents to their rooms.  If you are able to attend the Parkhouse service, please e-mail Mark Weeks (mhweeks76@gmail.com).

Exciting things are happening at Abundant Life Bible Church and I am humbled to get to be a part of this local church.

See you on Sunday,

Pastor Randy

Hi ALBC Family!

Finally, the week of VBS is upon us!  We have puppets, tropical decorations and snack supplies  in our living room right now.  Our family is super excited that one of the best weeks of our summer is about to begin.  We have lots of kids who we do not yet know registered which is amazing.  God is at work through this outreach already and I am humbled that we get to be a part of it!

Tomorrow morning, the men of ALBC will meet for our weekly prayer time at Buckman’s (105 Airport Road, Pottstown 19464) at 8 a.m.  This will be a special meeting as we lift up the many aspects of VBS to our Heavenly Father who knows exactly what we need.

This Sunday morning, we will continue in our series of “Things that Hold Us Back.”

Looking forward to a great week,
Pastor Randy
