Dear ALBC,

The start of the summer is here, and we are celebrating the blessings of a new season outside and a new season at Abundant Life!

If you were not able to be with us this past Sunday, the elders announced the members of the Pastor Search Committee. These core members were selected after much prayer and discussion where we asked the Lord to direct us to the people who He would have on this team. The members are:

Amy Erdman
Ashley Cassano
Dennis Lafferty
Dominic Presutti
Gary Rader
Jordan Craft (Elder and Chairman)
Matt Gahman (Elder and Associate Chair)
Keith Yoder (Interim Pastor and Team Coach)

The team met for the first time this past week and it was evident that God has a special calling for this group of people!

Please join us this Sunday morning when a member of the team will be providing an update of the next steps in our process to discern who God has for ALBC’s next senior pastor.

Dear ALBC,

Mark Your Calendars for the following events!

We’re Moving!: June 3rd

That’s right…starting June 3rd we will begin meeting at our new time (9am) and our new location (Providence Church of Royersford)! The ministry team leaders and elders are all excited for this opportunity and are working hard to be ready for Sunday 6/3/18.

We are thankful for all the opportunities that will be available to us at this new location!

(Providence Church is located at 1202 S Township Line Rd, Royersford, PA 19468)

Work Days: May 19th and 26th

To prepare for our move from the Music School to the new location we are targeting Saturday May 19th and 26th as work days. If you are a part of a ministry team and are free to help, please contact your team leader to see what assistance is needed.

If you are available to help regardless of what team you are on, we also have the need to move chairs and other furniture specifically on May 26th. Please contact Matt Gahman if you are free on this date.

Next Prayer Meeting May 20th – Providence Church in Royersford / 6:30pm

Please join us for our next Sunday night church-wide prayer meeting this May 20th at our new location in Royersford. These nights are a great time of prayer and fellowship as we seek God’s guidance for the future of ALBC and for our ongoing ministries. Childcare will be provided.

The Status of VBS

One of the decisions the elders have been prayerfully considering is whether or not to have a VBS this summer.  As you know VBS has been a staple of ALBC in the past and it is our desire for that to continue in the future; however, with all of the change happening between looking for a new pastor and the move to the new building, we believe there is wisdom in holding off on a VBS this summer. We also asked some of our key leaders of Grace Place about this, and they agreed that it is best to wait until the summer of 2019 to continue with our next VBS.

We are considering hosting a community outreach/fall fest this fall which we could use the new facility for. This alternative would be a great opportunity to reach the community around our new church home.

Thanks for your prayers!

Dear ALBC,

We are pleased to announce that the elder board has hired an interim pastor who we believe God has blessed with the wisdom and experience needed to help ALBC find a new lead pastor! We will be formally introducing Pastor Keith and his wife this Sunday morning in our 10:00 service at the Music School. You won’t want to miss it!

Also, our speaker this Sunday will be Pastor Tim Doering, a long time friend and supporter of Abundant Life. Tim oversees Vision and Networking at Netzer which is an organization that exists to support the church and its leaders in our area. Tim is also the Minister of Regional Leadership at Parker Ford Church in East Coventry.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support! We look forward to worshipping with you this Sunday!

What a great Easter Celebration we had this past weekend! It was a blessing to see the Erdman’s baptisms, to worship the Lord together, and to rejoice over Jesus’ resurrection!

As you know, Easter Sunday was also the closing of Amy and Randy’s ministry at Abundant Life. As a church we are sad to see them go, but happy that they are following the Lord’s calling in their lives.  Please continue to be in prayer for them over the coming months as they prepare to move their family to England.

Also, be sure to join us for a special Farewell Service this Sunday, April 8th at 10:00am. It will be a great time to celebrate the Mullens family and their 11 years of faithful service to the Lord. Please plan on staying for a luncheon after the service where we can share our “thank you’s” and “goodbyes” with Amy, Randy and the kids before they leave to focus on their transition.
All of the food for the luncheon will be provided entirely by ALBC so that no one has to miss any of the service to prepare or set-up. All you have to do is come!

Have a great week!
The Elder team

ALBC Newsletter

Dear ALBC Family,

Thank you so much for your prayers for me and our family as I traveled to England last week.  It was a fruitful trip regarding the connections that I was able to make concerning our visa and our future ministry there in the UK.  Please continue to remember our visa situation in prayer as it is not yet completely resolved, but people are working on it.   We believe that our God is able.
The ALBC Elders and I have come to the conclusion that in order for ALBC to be able to move forward in this transition, it would be best for our ministry to conclude on Easter Sunday.  Our family will then move into a time of rest prior to our new ministry in England.  As you can imagine, this is a bittersweet time for Amy and me that is filled with many emotions.  Please lift us up in prayer as we navigate this transition and you can be sure that our prayers will be with ALBC as you all transition to new leadership.
That being said, I look forward to our last weeks together leading up to our Easter Celebration.  As I have in years past, let me remind you that the people in your life are more sensitive to spiritual things at this time and we need to invite our friends, neighbors and coworkers out to our Good Friday and Easter Service where they will hear the Good News of Jesus’ death and resurrection.
See you on Sunday,
Pastor Randy

Hi ALBC Family!

I hope that you are all having a great week and that you have been able to experience the transforming presence of God.
This Sunday, we will be celebrating communion together.  We will also be looking together at some of Christ’s last moments before his crucifixion during our time together in the Word.
Last week, the elders of ALBC sent out an e-mail recapping the January 14th Core Meeting to all regular attenders.  If you fall into that category, but did not receive that e-mail, please e-mail Liz at and ask her to add you to that list as there will be additional e-mails sent out by the elders in the future.
Have a great Friday and see you on Sunday,
Pastor Randy

Happy New Year!

I hope that this find you all rejoicing in God’s faithfulness and looking forward for what He has for us all in 2018!
On January 14th, our elders will be holding a Core Meeting immediately following the worship service that I hope you will make a priority to attend.   They will be outlining what their plan is for this stage of our transition out of our ministry at ALBC and what it will look like to welcome a new pastor.  While Amy and I have loved our time here, we are excited about the growth that God has in store for ALBC as we following His leading to church plant in the U.K.
Our small group winter semester sign-up month has come to a close, but since this is a holiday week, many groups are not beginning until next week.  Therefore, it is not too late to sign-up for a group!  Please e-mail Amy at right away to do so.  You can take a look at what is being offered here:
May God Bless you,
Pastor Randy
