ALBC Newsletter

Hi ALBC Family,

I missed being with you on Sunday, as I filled in for a local pastor on sabbatical.  I am so thankful for Courage’s willingness to bring such a wonderful message to you on our identity in Christ.

Amy and I would like to express our thanks for the ways so many of you celebrated Pastor’s appreciation month in October through your cards, gifts and kind words.  We are so blessed to call you our church family and to get to be on mission with you for the cause of Christ in our community.

November is a month that has a lot to look forward to as we move towards the holiday season.  Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes are due on November 15th, so start packing them now!  Our annual Thanksgiving service will be on November 22nd at 10 a.m.  This is one of my favorite services of the year; you won’t want to miss being a part of it!  This time of year is often a time when people are looking to attend church and are more sensitive to spiritual things.  Please be in prayer for the people in your life who are in need of beginning a relationship with Jesus and be on the look out for opportunities to share His love with them.

This weekend, we will be continuing in our “Engage Life” series on Philippians.  The focus of our message will on the following verses:

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  (Philippians 4:6-7)

I have yet to meet a person who doesn’t need to work through, unpack and apply those concepts to their life.  I am looking forward to doing just that together this Sunday!
