Dear ALBC,

November is upon us and I am excited to be entering the holiday season together.  We are working on Facebook ads and praying for God to lead more people to our local church who need to hear of His love for them.  This often can be a difficult time of year as people see this time of year as idyllic and so often for a variety of reasons, life does not feel ideal for them.  Let us all be praying about who we can reach out and show Christ's love to this time of year.

Back in the Spring, we went to two services as a means to provide more space for our children's ministry and to make room for the growth we're experiencing at ALBC.  This has proven to be a good move for our church, but it could be better.  One thing that has been regularly been happening is that new people visit at the 10:45 service, then they realize that most people attend during the 9 a.m. service, so they start attending the (often full) 9 a.m. service.  To help get some "traction" going in the second service we are now asking you to prayerfully consider making a commitment to attend the 10:45 a.m. service for 6 months.  We are asking for at least five families to make this commitment.  This will help with stability, as the second service attendance tends to fluctuate week to week. So far, we have had one family commit to this, but we are looking for at least 4 more.  Please send me an e-mail at if you would be willing to make this commitment.  Thank you so very much for considering this!

Have you packed a shoebox yet?  November 13th is Shoebox Sunday at ALBC!  Let's make this the year when we contribute the most shoeboxes that we ever have as a church family!
