ALBC Newsletter

I have been meditating on this verse this week:

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
— Galatians 2:20

What joy we can experience when we set ourselves aside, allow Him to shine through us and focus on His great, immeasurable love for us.  Come out this Sunday as we flesh this out!
Today many of our ladies are headed to Ocean City, NJ for our annual Women’s Beach Retreat.  I am not sure who we should pray for more, them or the dads left behind!  No, really, please pray that friendships will be deepened, hearts will be encouraged and that they will have safety as they have a great time together.
I am so thankful for how well ALBC is functioning with 2 services.  We realize that many of you are sacrificially giving of your time and abilities to serve so that both services can be possible and I thank you.  God has been blessing and we look forward to how He will use us as a local church in the days ahead as we experience growth.  One point of clarification that we did want to make is that for the 10:45 a.m. service, children’s church will continue to go up to 6th grade.  It has been going quite well with the age span, so we will continue with that format.  They have been seeing 15-20 kids in the second service’s children’s church, so this has allowed for the room that we were needing in our regular Grace Place classes during the 9 a.m. service.
Even though this week has been a bit chilly, we are looking forward to summer!  A highlight of every year for our family has been our annual Vacation Bible School.  This year’s theme is Camp Kilimanjaro and will have an African vibe that will be really cool.  Mark your calendars for June 26-29th as this is not something that you want to miss.
Have a wonderful rest of your week!
